Meditech Research Initiatives

Meditech is active in developing new hardware and software technologies with the objective of upgrading devices to satisfy the requirements of both therapists and patients. This includes updates in protocol development, new applications for disease entities that may not have been previously treated with laser therapy, but where the latter has been found to be more effective than the current conventional approach. Meditech is also carrying on considerable research in the clinical field. Several projects have been initiated. These include: New concepts in neurological testing before and after therapy, Laser Therapy in the treatment of injuries of the c-spine, A review of the diagnosis and treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, The utilization of Laser Therapy in palliative care, Potential scenarios in the treatment of malignancies, LILT a solution for benign prostatic hypertrophy, and The imperative for laser application in wound healing.

Meditech is highly active in researching the clinical applications of Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT). We continue to strive to promote the proper application of LILT within the medical community. The research sections that are presented below highlight the growing success of this technology in treating a wide range of pathologies. This section provides a wealth of information about LILT from case studies treated at Meditech to peer reviewed publications from world renowned authors.
