Careers at MeditechMeditech Rehabilitation Centre is the largest provider of Low Intensity Laser Therapy in North America. The original clinic operated at Ryerson University from 1993 - 1999 by which time it had outgrown its physical dimension.

The corporate clinic then relocated to Toronto's west end in 2000 and a second laser therapy centre was opened in downtown Toronto in December 2005.

Physician:

Meditech Rehabilitation Centre is currently seeking a full or part time Physician for patient assessments at our clinic in Etobicoke. A flexible schedule is available as our clinic operates 7 days per week.

Requirement:

  • Current license with the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons
  •  

    Medical Secretary:

    Responsible for secretarial and clerical support including: administering and monitoring billing procedures, OHIP billing and multi-tasking in a fast paced environment. Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills essential. Accurate Dictaphone transcriptions and general Word Processing experience for a Medical Doctor imperative. Strong interpersonal communication skills along with a friendly personality are a must.

    Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation of a busy medical clinic including; scheduling of appointments, OHIP billings, managing MVA case paperwork, completing insurance forms ie. OCF-18
  • Provide administrative support for the President/Medical Doctor including, transcription of dictations, responding to emails and correspondence typing
  • Maintain paper and electronic files of patient records as well as personal files for the President
  • Requirements:

  • Ability to learn billing program and balance daily financials
  • Ability to manage multi-line phone system
  • Excellent word-processing skills working in a Microsoft office environment (IBM Compatible, Word Perfect, Excel, MS Word, Windows, Electronic Mail, Internet Explorer)
  • Excellent knowledge of healthcare, organizational/office practices, procedures and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate as an active participant with others in assisting with the delivery of care to patients
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills - Ability to use good judgment is assessing difficult situations and work well under pressure
  •  

    Transcriptionist:

    Excellent medical transcriptionist needed Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
